Namibia Deputy Prime Minister Inspects Swakopmund Road Project Constructed by UNIK Construction Engineering----

On July 6, Mr. Hon. John Mutorwa, Namibia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Transport, inspected the Swakopmund Highway Project constructed by UNIK Construction Engineering (UNIK). Joining him were Conrad Lutombi, CEO of the Namibia Roads Authority, Ali Ipinge, CEO of the Namibia Road Fund Administration, the supervision engineer, as well as Mr. Dong Jinbo, General Manager of UNIK Namibia branch, and the project manager.

During the inspection, Namibia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Transport, along with his delegation, visited the critical sections of the project, including the construction sites of MR36 pavement and MR44 sub-grade, and the viaduct. The project manager from UNIK Namibia branch provided an comprehensive update on the project’s progress and outlined and the subsequent construction plans to ensure the highway’s on-schedule delivery.

The Minister expressed high praise for the quality and progress of the project constructed by UNIK Namibia branch. He highlighted that the highway’s timely completion would greatly enhance the logistics capabilities of Walvis Bay Port, contributing significantly to Namibia’s economic growth and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
