Malawi Transport Minister Reviews Progress on M1 Highway Project Constructed by UNIK Construction Engineering----
On July 12, Malawi’s Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mr. Jacob Hara, visited the M1 Highway project constructed by UNIK Construction Engineering (UNIK). Joining him were representatives from the Roads Authority, local council members, the chief supervision engineer, as well as Mr. He Yifeng, the General Manager of UNIK Malawi Branch, and the project manager. Local journalists were also present to cover the event. During the visit, the delegation carefully assessed the condition of the highway and received a comprehensive report from the relevant personnel of UNIK. The minister expressed his satisfaction with the current construction quality and progress and affirmed the plans for the next phase of the project. Addressing public concerns, Minister Jacob answered the questions from the reporters on-site. Minister Hara underscored the strategic importance of the M1 Highway, calling it a lifeline for the country’s economic development and a key route for public transportation.
